Beatrice Fragasso

Beatrice Fragasso is a postdoctoral fellow in Criminal law at the Department of Legal Sciences
“Cesare Beccaria”, University of Milan. In April 2023, she defended a PhD dissertation on the
liability for AI-related harms, examining this issue from both Torts Law and Criminal Law
perspectives. She has been a visiting researcher at Cornell Law School and at Goethe-Universität
Frankfurt.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, she in co-teaching “Cybersecurity and protection of personal data:
legal and policies issues” with Professor Pierluigi Perri.
Between 2020 and 2022, she coordinated a research group on Artificial intelligence and criminal
law, supported by the Vittorio Occorsio Foundation.
Previously, between 2019 and 2020, she served as a law clerk at the Office of the Prosecutor in
Milan, working within the Department against fraud and cybercrime. In 2021, she was admitted to
the Italian bar.
