Camilla Burelli is Assistant Professor of EU Law at the Department of Italian and Supranational Public Law of the University of Milan. She teaches “European Union Law” within the Master’s programme “Valorization and sustainable development of mountain areas” and a module on “European Union Law” within the Master’s programme “Law and sustainable development”.
She developed her research in the field of EU Institutional Law and EU Procedural Law, with specific focus, inter alia, on the infringement procedure and private applicants’ locus standi before the European Courts. Her current focus is on the Artificial Intelligence Act and, in particular, on the specific ways in which it is applied and implemented by the European Commission, which has been granted broad executive powers, and by the Member States, which have been given significant leeway.
