Gregorio Gitti is full Professor of civil law at the University of Milan and a prominent Italian lawyer. He specializes in civil, commercial, and corporate law, with a focus on contracts, banking, financial markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
He is the founder and director of the journal ‘Osservatorio del diritto civile e commerciale’, which deals with topical issues straddling contract law, companies and financial markets. He is the author of numerous studies and publications, focusing – especially in recent years – on the potential and risks arising from the use of new technologies on contracts and private autonomy. Gitti organises and participates in numerous conferences and seminar initiatives as part of the ongoing debate among civil law scholars on the implications of artificial intelligence.
